werkelijkheid in 1856. Als 27 jarige kreeg hij de opdracht een kasteeltje te bouwen in neogotische stijl.<\/p><p>Landgoed Kasteel Aerwinkel is een bijzonder landgoed. Niet alleen het huis is interessant vanuit cultuurhistorisch oogpunt, maar het heeft ook een heel bijzonder 7 ha. groot park, dat is opgenomen in de EGHN, European Garden Heritage Network. Het park heeft een enorme verscheidenheid aan bomen en heesters en is waarschijnlijk ook in eerste instantie ontworpen door Cuijpers. Aangrenzend ligt het prachtige Munnichsbos.
